Jen "Lil Bit" Adams: A little girl with a big voice, Lil Bit began singing at a young age. Growing up in a musical family, she was surrounded by influences of all kinds including hillbilly, bluegrass, country and early rock n' roll. Among the artists she looks to for inspiration are Patsy Cline, Charlene Arthur, Ramona Reed, The Collins Kids, Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams and Joyce Green. Discovered at a local karaoke night singing Patsy Cline and Kitty Wells, she quickly joined with Papa and The Texas Three. Since then not only has the band gone through many transformations leading up to Lil Bit becoming the lead vocalist and band leader, but she has also appeared as a guest singer with other groups such as Two Tons of Steel, Eddie Clendening, The Crawdaddies, The Rafters, The Cat Pack and Dale Watson. With The Customatics, and as a former featured guest with Sean Castillo and The Hubcaps, Lil Bit has crossed the stages of venues across Texas including Gruene Hall, Cheatham Street Warehouse, The Triple Crown, Jovita's, Broadway 50/50, The Scenic Loop Café, The Hangin' Tree Saloon and Blanco's. |
